How we control quality from material in to label out — measured, verified and reported on every batch.
Why labels from KAYU stay on
Three engineering habits behind labels that perform in the field — not just on the sample sheet.
Diagnose the failure first
Every edge lift, bubble or residue has a mechanism behind it. We start from how your label will fail — cold, heat, solvent or a low-energy surface — before we select anything.
Explore the failure-first challenges →Match the three layers
A label is a system: face stock, adhesive and liner. Mismatch any layer to the job and the whole label fails. We shortlist materials against your container, environment and line.
Materials & adhesive selection →Verify on your line
Sample results are the ticket in; your applicator, filling line and process are the judge. We prove bonds on your containers and report every batch.
Our measured quality data →Quality Specifications
Measured, verified and reported on every batch — because label performance starts with process control
Printing Precision
Multi-color registration ≤ ±0.1 mm · color difference ΔE ≤ 2.0 (D50 illuminant, verified with X-Rite)
Precision Die-Cutting
Half-cut kiss-cutting with controlled blade depth that preserves the liner’s silicone layer — no liner damage, clean peeling
Barcode Readability
Scan grade ≥ 2.5 per ANSI/ISO 15416 · verification report issued with every batch
Adhesive Performance
Permanent & removable adhesive systems with documented peel and holding performance · temperature resistance −40 °C to 150 °C
Detailed adhesive data available on request
Process Control: From Receiving to Shipping
Every process step carries its own critical-to-quality (CTQ) checkpoints — controlled in-house so the label you approve is the label that ships.
Incoming Material Inspection
CTQ: face-stock thickness tolerance · adhesive coat weight · release force of the liner
Printing
CTQ: inline densitometry & color monitoring — ΔE alarms in real time against the approved standard
Surface Finishing
CTQ: lamination, hot foil and spot UV — adhesion testing after finishing before the job moves on
Die-Cutting ★
CTQ: blade depth verified by the dye-staining method so the liner’s silicone layer stays untouched
Matrix Stripping
CTQ: angled take-off and peel-plate waste removal to prevent adhesive stringing on the roll
Slitting & Rewinding ★
CTQ: rewind tension kept below core tension to prevent adhesive squeeze-out at the roll ends
Final Inspection
CTQ: 100% vision inspection on the automatic inspecting machine plus barcode grade verification
Packaging & Dispatch
CTQ: temperature / humidity protection in wrapping — liner interleaving at roll ends to shield the adhesive edge
Production & Inspection Equipment
Key equipment on our label converting lines — printing, die-cutting, inspection and finishing under one roof.
Detailed instrument list (spectrophotometer, light booth, barcode verifier and incoming-material gauges) available on request.
