Security paper adhesive tax stamps are made for high-value goods where a tax liability and a brand promise have to be protected at the same time. Wine, spirits and coffee are the usual applications: the stamp proves the duty has been paid, and it gives the buyer a way to check that the goods are genuine.
Security built into the paper
The stamp starts from high-security paper carrying a tamper-evident adhesive, so it cannot be lifted and reapplied without leaving a trace. Rainbow printing, intaglio printing, IR and UV responsive inks, and hot stamping foil are combined on one piece. Surface finishing adds a watermark, a safety thread, micro text and invisible UV marks, which lets an inspector verify the stamp under light while a casual copy fails the same test.
