Digital Tax Stamps & Excise Duty Labels

Cigarette tax stamps are affixed to each pack to show that the duty on the product has been paid. The stamp is the visible proof of legality and, at the same time, an authentication feature that makes the pack harder to fake.

What a stamp carries

A tax stamp is built from several print technologies at once — laser marking, invisible coding, QR codes and more — so a genuine stamp can be checked quickly while a copy is difficult to produce. It is the combination of features, not any single one, that raises the barrier for a counterfeiter.
